Pistol Caliber Carbines (PCC's) have been gaining in popularity and while they can be effective, they do have limitations.

This class explores the strengths and boundaries of such tools, where they are best suited, and how to effectively use them in a defensive situation. Wound ballistics, barrier penetration, psychological vs physiological 'stops', and bullet types are reviewed to help students make informed decisions. In addition to caliber selection, action type, & basic utilization a thorough discussion and demonstration of accessories to enhance their capability is included. Movement, multiple target engagement, failure drills, reloading/malfunction clearing are all thoroughly studied. Students leave with enahnced skills in using their PCC, culminating in firing the MA Police Patrol Rifle Qualification course.

Prequisite: NRA Home Firearm Safety or equivelent; LTC is required for this course.
